Deep Run West Volunteers Support Global Hunger Relief
at MCC Mobile Canner

Members of Deep Run West were grateful for the opportunity to volunteer at a recent Mennonite Central Committee Mobile Canner event. Each year, MCC’s mobile meat canner travels across the United States, bringing together thousands of volunteers to support this effort. According to MCC, more than 30,000 individuals participate annually—filling, weighing, washing, and labeling every can with care. The finished products are then distributed to MCC partners around the world, helping provide essential nutrients in communities where access to meat is limited.

Vacation Bible School at Deep Run West

This summer, our church was thrilled to host an unforgettable few days of Vacation Bible School, where children from across the community came together to learn about God's love in a fun, engaging, and faith-filled environment. Through energetic hands-on crafts, interactive Bible stories, and exciting games, kids experienced the joy of growing in their faith while making new friends and lasting memories. Our dedicated volunteers created a safe and welcoming space for every child, and we are so grateful for the incredible turnout and the ways God moved in the hearts of everyone involved.
